Airline Negotiated Rates

Airline Negotiated Rates

If your organization has secured special fares directly with airlines, Routespring supports loading these negotiated rates so your travelers can automatically benefit from them when booking flights.

Follow the steps below to make your rates available on Routespring:

Step 1: Introduce Your Routespring Account Manager to the Airline Sales Contact

To begin the process, introduce your assigned Routespring Account Manager to your airline’s corporate sales representative or account manager.

A simple email introducing both parties works best, mentioning that you'd like Routespring to enable your negotiated fares for employee use.

Step 2: Coordination and ATPCO Fare Filing

After the introduction:

  • The airline representative will coordinate with Routespring's account team to file your negotiated fares via ATPCO (Airline Tariff Publishing Company), which is the standard way airlines distribute corporate fares across booking platforms.

  • ATPCO fare filing includes your fare rules, eligibility criteria, and ticket designators tied to your corporate agreement.

Step 3: Fare Filing Timeline

The timeline depends on the airline’s internal process, but typically:

  • Airline filing and activation through ATPCO can take 4-5 weeks

  • Routespring testing and verification takes an additional 1 week

We’ll keep you updated throughout the process and notify you once the rates are live.

Step 4: Rates Activated on Routespring

Once testing is complete, Routespring will enable your rates for your account. After this:

  • Your travelers will start seeing your corporate fares automatically when searching for flights.

  • These fares may include discounted pricing, flexible ticketing policies, or fare class upgrades—based on your agreement with the airline.

Important Notes

  • Routespring supports airline rate loading only when the rates are filed in ATPCO and made available for third-party platforms.

  • If your airline partner has not filed the fares through ATPCO, we recommend requesting them to do so.

  • Some carriers may require a unique identifier or corporate code to be used for fare eligibility. Please share this with your Routespring Account Manager if applicable.

Need Help?

If your fares aren’t appearing after 5-6 weeks or you’re unsure whether your airline has filed them via ATPCO, please reach out to your Account Manager or contact us at trip@routespring.com.
