How Ryanair bookings work on Routespring

Ryanair is a low-cost airline available to book directly through Routespring. Because Ryanair requires you to confirm your booking directly on their site before it is finalised, Routespring automatically redirects you to complete that step — no agent involvement needed.

Once you complete the verification on Ryanair's page, control returns to Routespring and your trip is confirmed. The full itinerary — with your PNR, fare details, and invoice — is available immediately in Manage Bookings.

This replaces an older flow where Ryanair bookings were handed off to a Routespring agent and could remain in a pending state for an extended period. The new flow is fully self-service and completes in minutes.

💡 No extra steps on your end
You do not need to do anything differently when searching for or selecting a Ryanair flight. The verification redirect appears automatically at the confirmation step, only when Ryanair requires it.

When does this apply to you?

You are booking a Ryanair flight within your travel policy

After you confirm the booking, Routespring shows a verification prompt and redirects you to confirm your flight on Ryanair's site. Once done, your itinerary is ready immediately.

Your Ryanair booking requires approval first

If the fare is outside your company's travel policy, the booking request goes to your Travel Manager for approval. The verification redirect happens after approval is granted — not before.

You are a Travel Manager approving a Ryanair request

When you approve an outside-policy Ryanair booking, the verification redirect fires immediately in your browser — you complete the flight confirmation on Ryanair's site before the trip is finalised.

You need to retry after a failed or abandoned verification

If the verification page times out, the browser is closed, or the verification fails, the booking is not confirmed and no charge is made. You can restart the booking and attempt verification again.

Booking a within-policy Ryanair flight

Use this flow when the Ryanair fare you have selected is within your company's travel policy and no approval is required.

⚠️ Price changes before confirmation
If the fare price increases or decreases between when you searched and when Ryanair processes the booking, Routespring will notify you of the change before completing the verification. You can accept the new price or cancel and search again. No charge is made unless you accept.

Booking an outside-policy Ryanair flight

If the Ryanair fare you have selected is outside your company's travel policy — for example, it exceeds the maximum fare class allowed — the booking requires approval from your Travel Manager before verification can proceed.

Frequently asked questions

Why am I being redirected to a Ryanair page when I book?
Ryanair requires all bookings made through third-party platforms to be confirmed directly on their site. Routespring handles this automatically by redirecting you to complete that step — once done, your booking is confirmed and you return to Routespring.
Does my payment method affect how Ryanair verification works?
No. The verification redirect applies regardless of whether you are paying by corporate card, personal card, prepayment, or any other supported method. The payment rules for Ryanair are the same as for other Travelfusion flights on Routespring.
What happens if I close the browser during Ryanair verification?
The booking will remain in a Verification Required state and will not be confirmed. No charge is made. Go to Manage Bookings, open the booking detail page, and click the Verification Required status to initiate verification again.
⚡ On the booking detail page, the status will show Verification Required — click it to be taken back to Ryanair's confirmation page.

Can I book a Ryanair flight using a travel credit?
No. Credit flight booking is not supported for Ryanair on Routespring. This is consistent with the general limitation on credit bookings for Travelfusion-sourced flights. You will need to use a standard payment method.
Can I book a multicity itinerary that includes Ryanair?
Multicity bookings are not supported for Ryanair on Routespring. For a trip that mixes Ryanair with another carrier, each leg must be booked separately. Only the Ryanair leg triggers the verification redirect; other legs book through their standard flow.
I completed verification but my booking still shows "Verify Booking" — what should I do?
This can occasionally happen with outside-policy bookings. Try refreshing the page. If the status does not update after a minute, contact trip@routespring.com with your booking reference and our team will resolve it promptly.
Are corporate Ryanair flights available on Routespring?
No. Corporate-negotiated Ryanair fares are not supported. Only standard published Ryanair fares are available through Routespring's Travelfusion connection.
How do I find my Ryanair PNR after booking?
Go to Manage Bookings, open your trip, and click See details on the Ryanair flight segment. The PNR and e-ticket reference are displayed there. You can also download the invoice from the same page.
