Routespring helps you securely and effortlessly provision access to Routespring through Google SAML SSO integration, and save time onboarding your users. Below are the steps you need to enable this integration:
Prerequisites:
You need to have an Admin account on Routespring and Google to be able to enable Google SAML SSO.
Configuration Steps:
- Log into Google's Admin account
- Go to Apps > Web and mobile apps
- Click on Add app > Add custom SAML app
- Set the app name as Routespring, Set description as Business Travel Management App, and under App icon upload the Routespring logo
- Click continue, download Metadata, and then click continue
- Log into your Routespring admin account
- Go to Company Dashboard > Settings > Integrations > Google SSO
Upload the Metadata file (GoogleIDPMetadata.xml) you downloaded in step 5
From Routespring, copy "Single sign-on URL (SP Assertion Consumer Service URL)" and paste it in Google ACS URL
From Routespring, copy "SP Entity ID" and paste it in Google Entity ID
- Next steps on Google:
- Select Name ID format as Email, Name ID as Basic Information > Primary Email and then click continue
- Update attributes mapping as below:
- Basic Information > Primary Email → email
- Basic Information > Primary Email → firstName
- Basic Information > Primary Email → lastName
- Employee Details > Department → department
- Click Finish
- As shown in the above screen, by default the user access if turned OFF for everyone.
- Go to User access and change the service status to "ON for everyone"
- Go back to Company Dashboard > Settings > Integrations > Google SSO and click "Request Activation". This will notify the Routespring product team to activate your Google SAML SSO.
- Finally, copy the URL of your Routespring's SAML SSO app in Google and send it to trip@routespring.com
Within 24 hours, Routespring support will review and activate your Google SAML SSO. Once that's done, you're all set and your employees will start seeing Routespring app in their Google Workspace apps as below. They can just click on the app and they will be logged into their Routespring account.
