How does "Recommended" sorting for hotel room options work?

When booking a hotel room through RouteSpring, the system offers a Recommended Sorting
feature to simplify your decision-making process. This sorting option is designed to prioritize options that align with your company’s travel policies, helping you make compliant and cost-effective choices.

How Recommended Sorting Works

The Recommended Sorting organizes hotel options into three clear tiers, ensuring a logical and policy-compliant order of results. Here’s how it’s structured:

1. Within Policy "Corporate Rates" (Sorted by Price: Low to High)

The top of the list features hotels with corporate rates that are both compliant with your company’s travel policy and cost-effective. These options are sorted by price, with the lowest-priced options displayed first. This prioritization ensures that you can quickly access the best deals that meet your organization's requirements.

2. Other Within Policy Options (Sorted by Price: Low to High)

After corporate rates, the system displays other hotel options that still fall within your company’s travel policy but are not specifically listed as corporate rates. These options are also sorted from the lowest to highest price, making it easy to compare additional compliant choices.

3. All Other Options (Sorted by Price: Low to High)

Finally, the system displays hotels that fall outside your company’s travel policy. While these options might not meet policy requirements, they are available for consideration. Like the other tiers, these options are sorted by price, from low to high.

Why Use Recommended Sorting?

The Recommended Sorting feature ensures:

  • Policy Compliance: Corporate and within-policy rates are given priority to help you adhere to your company’s travel policy.
  • Cost Savings: Sorting by price ensures you can choose the most economical option within each tier.
  • Time Efficiency: By grouping and sorting options logically, you spend less time filtering through unnecessary choices.
By using the Recommended Sorting feature, you can streamline the hotel booking process and make informed choices that balance policy compliance and cost-effectiveness.
